1340s the saga continues post plague outbreak
This is the sequel and continues where vol one left off.. I couldn’t put it down. The narrator is particularly good and the characters now well known.
My interest is especially with the transition from feudal serfdom to paid employment with the plague devastation as the catalyst.

Wonderful
I listen to books these days, as l drive in congested traffic for 1 hour thirty each way. So l will start with the narration – it is top notch, the accents done very well, the Latin rolling off the tongue. Nice, very nice.
The story has been made so real that l cant wait to be stuck in my car just to listen to this, you feel …in situ…ready to defend Lady Anne.
Like many, l will have read this and the first one, Last Hours, because we know Minette Walters to be a very talented author. For me these two books are even better being heard due to that narration. The story is during the time of the plague and is set in the Dorest area of England. I love the ways she closes the gaps between church, learning, faith (or fear) and the needs of people – just loved this. Go for it, you will too:)
