Loved all these characters and I wish I could have kept on listening to the narrator tell me all about them for longer.

I wasn’t sure I like this at first. If it was supposed to be funny no, I didn’t find it so. What I did find, tho, was that I became intrigued by what Phoebe needed from the people around her to pull her through her feelings of suicide. I loved how Lila made her feel needed and trusted, and just let her be part of t he wedding party. For me, the pivotal moment of Phoebe’s story was on the boat having the funeral for Human Princess. Phoebe was able to let go of so much deep hurt and feelings in her private goodbyes. It was the moment she faced forward to live. It was the moment I began to like the book.
