    Really impressed!

Not only does this book fill in some crucial gaps between the Skywalker Saga and the new “Rey Trilogy”, but it does so in a layered and nuanced way, where characters have depth and purpose in the story, the characterisations of Han and Leia are spot-on, and the exploration of Leia coming to terms with her parentage is complex and compelling.

    Could not finish.

I’ve listened to many Star Wars books. The story reminded me of a what might be published in Mills and Boon romances with a political edge. No tensions established from the start just Leahs dreams of quitting the senate; dreams and of peace vs balance and examples of feminine ego underlining efforts to gain title. The voice and voice inflexion actually became annoying as it did not knit with the characters. Hans Solo sounded like a 16 year old boy. Sorry after the first 30 minutes had to mark the book as finished.
