Publisher's Summary
It’s time to go back home.
In the years since Lindon left Sacred Valley, he has attained power beyond anything his family thought possible. Now he’ll have to put those powers to the test, because a Dreadgod is on its way.
Lindon and his allies set out to evacuate the valley before the arrival of the Wandering Titan, but their sacred arts are weakened by an ancient curse. They’ll have to persuade the squabbling inhabitants of Sacred Valley to leave behind their home and set off into the outside world.
But it has been a long time since Lindon left, and more has changed than he realized.
He has always sought power to save his family…but now he might be too late.

I wanted to enjoy this book.
I wanted to enjoy this book yet its hard to find something memorable after completing the book.
Firstly the term bloodline only really comes into effect in that future vision and the akura bloodline ( not sure what to take away from this).
Second the abadon make a huge deal about saving iterations and such yet when they fight the mad king who has the scythe which is built to anhilate worlds they don’t group up and go all out to destroy him?!? they even said themselves that they need at least 3 to try and kill him. They also go and abandon all but 100 iterations from 10000 anyways ?!?!.
Third the sacred valley situation was narratively used as a plot point to develop the characters personalities rather than an actual evacuation. with the use of monarchs and the tournament wish being a bit bland.
there are a lot of random fate reliant elements that cut down my immersion , hopefully now that fate has been disconected and chaos is comming things get a bit more interesting.

constantly amazed
I don’t know how many times i said to my partner during this book, the author must’ve based Athens bloodline power on his own story writing ability. He planted seeds in book 1, 5, 7, 8, they just keep sprouting and it blows your mind.
spoiler** athens garden prepared for the sect. omfg. genius.
I hated the kind hearted bs from mercy and Lindon during the negotiations of saving SV. thank god for the internal conflict of mercy and repeating her mother’s actions. lindons was purely painful to get through. the cockroaches of sacred valley were not worth the ridiculous lengths they went to, and it just got silly at some points. but the end result was worth the muck I guess.
